The Keep America Beautiful National Conference, our premier educational, training, and networking event, brings together hundreds of leaders from the nonprofit’s national network of community-based affiliates, civic and business leaders, policymakers, and other experts who share innovative ideas and proven strategies to help end littering, improve recycling, and beautify America’s communities.
The 2020 National Conference took place Feb. 12-14 in Memphis, Tennessee. The conference featured the award-winning work of Keep America Beautiful affiliates, partner organizations, community leaders and volunteers from across the U.S. at the annual Keep America Beautiful National Awards Ceremony, which took place during the conference.
Recycling Marketing Development Workshop
A special, pre-conference “Recycling Market Development Workshop,” hosted by Keep America Beautiful, National Recycling Coalition, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Resource Recycling Systems, took place on Feb. 11. The workshop featured a robust discussion about recycling market development and education.
Recycling professionals discussed current and evolving initiatives to support recycling markets and programs; innovative recycling infrastructure developments and recycling tools that support new and expanding recycling markets; and how state and local governments help enhance recycling infrastructure by supporting regional circular economies.
