Keep Columbus Beautiful launches initiative for people to continue keeping the city clean while staying home.
Keep Columbus Beautiful (KCB) in Ohio has launched a social media campaign in partnership with its local partner Lowe’s called Litter-Free Lawns, which features the slogan “A Clean City Begins with Us!”
The campaign encourages homeowners, tenants, and landlords to clean up litter and debris from lawns, sidewalks, and streets around their respective properties. This initiative promotes individual action to help end littering in the community of Columbus. KCB advises individuals to use proper protection when cleaning up, and to use a leaf blower in situations where there are concerns regarding handling litter.
“If every resident on your street participates weekly, the action will lead to a litter-free street and a cleaner, safer neighborhood,” Keep Columbus Beautiful writes on the campaign site.
KCB also invites and encourages individuals to take a pledge to keep their lawn litter free and submit pictures to be entered to win weekly prizes.
