Month-Long Truckee River Celebration
For the last three years in the Truckee Meadows region of Northern Nevada, One Truckee River has hosted a month-long celebration of the Truckee River in May. The organization gets thousands of people out enjoying the river, learning about how valuable to watershed is, and taking action to protect it. In light if everything going on in the world, the team has done an incredible job converting the entire month of events into an online format. One of the new focuses of the celebration is showing the community the value and healing power of spending time in nature, especially when it’s along the river.
