Trash for Charity

Back in September of 2021, I organized a trash pick up and found a local sponsor to give to a local charity. I called it Trash for Charity. The idea was to encourage more volunteers to attend, so each person who attended counted as $10 towards the charity. In total, 60 people attended so $600 was donated towards a local hospital (Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital). With those 60 people, 6,315 pieces of trash were picked up. Families showed up. Individuals came. A dance class cancelled their morning practice and instead came to the pick up. It was a huge success!
