Senior Manager, Research and Evaluation

Ghazal Dezfuli specializes in data collection, data management, research design, and qualitative and quantitative research methods, including advanced statistical techniques. She is passionate about uncovering insights from data and using them to inform decision-making.

Ghazal has experience working at non-profits, universities, and multilateral organizations. She has more than four years of experience providing research support to World Bank development projects focused on environmental health, climate change, cleaner production, biodiversity protection, and sustainable development. In her prior roles, she has provided guidance to staff and research teams on data collection strategies and on research designs used to evaluate the impacts of programs. She has also guest lectured on experimental, quasi-experimental, and observational research designs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  In her past projects, she has collaborated with a variety of stakeholders, including civil society organizations and government agencies.

She received a PhD in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Government from Bowdoin College.
