How Can YOU Get Involved?
America Recycles Day (ARD) is held every year on and in the weeks leading into Nov. 15. ARD, an initiative of Keep America Beautiful, is the only nationally-recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Through our vast affiliate network, ARD connects local communities to our national movement by directly engaging millions of people to recycle more and recycle right every day.
More than 76,000 people have taken the pledge to #BeRecycled! The pledge is a promise to actively choose to live a recycled lifestyle by committing to “Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.” in all aspects of your daily routine – at home, at school/work and on the go.
Here are some ways you can #BeRecycled:
- Bring your unwanted clothing – any condition or brand – to your local H&M store. As a bonus, H&M donates to our mission for every pound received through its Garment Collection Program.
- Recycle food and beverage cartons where accepted – and keep them out of landfills. Click here to find out if your community recycles cartons.
- Recycle plastic bottled containers at home and on the go! Listen to the International Bottled Water Association’s latest podcast on littering, recycling and beautification featuring our President & CEO, Helen Lowman.
- Always remember to shop for products that contain recycled content.
