El Centro de la Raza is the largest Latino-focused nonprofit in the state of Washington, providing 43 essential programs and services tailored to the Latino communities in Seattle. These encompass affordable housing, bilingual childcare, a food bank, digital literacy programs, workforce development, and comprehensive social services. The organization’s primary objectives include facilitating resource connections, dismantling barriers, nurturing the concept of the Beloved Community, and fostering social awareness, all while catering to diverse communities throughout the Puget Sound region. Volunteer support plays a pivotal role in effectively delivering these comprehensive services. Annually, El Centro de la Raza’s impactful programs and services benefit over 20,000 individuals.

This effort is a component of Comcast’s partnership with Keep America Beautiful, which centers on collaborative cleanup initiatives across the country and is part of the company’s Team UP year-round employee volunteerism program. Since 2022, Comcast has partnered with Keep America Beautiful, combining efforts to create a positive impact on communities and the environment.

Through the volunteerism of Comcast, El Centro de la Raza will be able to “offer more services sooner” on their campuses, as stated by Estela Ortego, Executive Director of El Centro de la Raza.
