David Wheeler

Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships

David Wheeler currently serves as Keep America Beautiful’s Vice President, National Partnerships, where he directs a number of national and regional KAB initiatives across the U.S. Prior to joining KAB in 2021, David led various environmental nonprofits for many years, including serving as the Executive Director of a New Jersey-based wildlife conservation nonprofit for eight years.

David has taught Environmental Communications and Introduction to Sustainability courses at Rutgers University and Mercer County Community College. He wrote the book “Wild New Jersey: Nature Adventures in the Garden State,” and also wrote a monthly nature column for the Star Ledger. David earned his M.B.A. in marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a B.A. in public communications and literature from the American University in Washington DC. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, daughter and son.
