Rowan Sharkey is the Data and Evaluation Analyst at Keep America Beautiful, where she supports the research, monitoring, and evaluation of community-based projects. Aiming to understand the impact of the organization and its network of more than 600 affiliates, Rowan focuses on capturing the data-driven outcomes and personalized stories that result from these projects.

Having begun her career in sustainable agriculture, Rowan became fascinated with the waste industry and the circularity of organic and nonorganic materials. She believes that by integrating empirical data with human narratives, a more holistic and comprehensive picture is painted, allowing creative solutions to be generated. With a deep connection to the land, Rowan is dedicated to advancing best management and restoration practices to ensure a thriving planet for all organisms. In her spare time, Rowan is often hiking, creating art, or playing music with friends. She is energized by Keep America Beautiful’s mission and feels incredibly lucky to be working with such passionate environmentalists!
