Keep America Beautiful Announces 2024 Power of Beauty Award Winners at Celebration During Climate Week NYC
Cox Enterprises, Diageo, TerraCyle, and United Airlines honored for leadership and innovation in recycling, litter prevention, sustainability, and beautification
New York, NY, September 23, 2024 – Keep America Beautiful® announced the winners of the 2024 Power of Beauty Awards, which will be presented tonight at the Power of Beauty Celebration at Radio Park above Rockefeller Center, coinciding with the start of Climate Week in New York City.
This year’s award winners are:
- Sustainability Communication: United Airlines, Chief Trash Officer
- Litter Innovation: TerraCycle, Cigarette Litter Prevention Program
- Beauty Innovation: Diageo, MLK Community Grant Program
- Corporate Volunteerism: Cox Enterprises
The Power of Beauty Awards recognize corporate leadership and innovation in recycling, sustainability, and litter prevention, honoring companies making significant strides in environmental responsibility.
Keep America Beautiful CEO Jennifer Lawson emphasized the significance of the event during Climate Week.
“Our 2024 Power of Beauty honorees are setting new standards in sustainability, showing that corporate leadership is essential for real progress,” Lawson said. “I’m proud that Keep America Beautiful’s work—whether it’s picking up litter, encouraging recycling, or planting trees—is reducing emissions and helping ecosystems across the U.S. adapt to a changing climate. Together with our affiliates, volunteers, and corporate partners, we’re building a healthier, more resilient future.”
Tonight’s event also celebrates the launch of the Greatest American Cleanup™, a nationwide initiative led by Keep America Beautiful to clean, green, and beautify the nation in time for the United States’ 250th birthday on July 4, 2026. The campaign aims to remove 25 billion pieces of litter and beautify 25,000 communities across the country.
