Keep America Beautiful® Appoints Atlantic Packaging President Wes Carter To Board of Directors
Stamford, CT, Oct. 9, 2025 – Keep America Beautiful®, the nation’s leading community improvement nonprofit organization, today announced the appointment of Wes Carter, President of Atlantic Packaging, to its national Board of Directors.
“Wes is an innovator who understands both the urgency of the environmental challenges we face and the power of practical solutions,” said Jennifer Lawson, President and CEO of Keep America Beautiful. “His leadership in sustainable packaging and his ability to connect business goals with environmental stewardship will strengthen our work to reduce waste and inspire action in communities nationwide.”
As the third-generation leader of Atlantic Packaging, the largest privately owned industrial packaging company in North America, Carter is driving innovation in packaging optimization and sustainability across industries. He also spearheads A New Earth Project, Atlantic’s values communication platform, dedicated to transitioning brands away from environmentally problematic packaging while designing systems and solutions that reflect its duty of care for future generations.
Carter serves on the Boards of Directors for The Conservation Alliance, WildAid, and the South Carolina Conservation Bank, and is a member of the California SB-54 Packaging Producer Responsibility Advisory Board, the Lowcountry Land Trust Board, and the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Board of Visitors. Through these roles, he is helping to advance conservation, packaging reform, and sustainable business practices on both local and national levels.
