Keep Norwalk Beautiful hosted its annual Norwalk River Valley Trail Cleanup. 

Keep America Beautiful® staff members joined the action in Norwalk, Connecticut, for the the Norwalk River Valley Trail Cleanup on April 11, 2019. 

Keep Norwalk Beautiful (KNB) partnered with the Norwalk River Valley Trail, Norwalk River Watershed Association and Grace Farms in New Canaan, Connecticut, for its annual cleanup. Trucks from the Norwalk Department of Public Works were on hand to assist with hauling away the accumulated debris from the cleanup. 

More than 50 volunteers tackled the littered terrain along a portion of the Norwalk River Valley Trail, which runs from Norwalk to Danbury. Over 3,700 pounds of trash were collected, including eight tires, one Freon appliance, a bowling ball, and a mattress. 

Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling also attended the event. Following the cleanup, the group enjoyed refreshments from Chef Tony Delicias, thanks to KNB.
