Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Keep Oklahoma Beautiful (KOB) recognized a community need with the potential to help support its efforts. On April 26, 2020, KOB launched its #KOB20for20 Campaign, which continued through May 31, 2020.

For every $20 (or more) donation made during the campaign, 50% went toward helping to maintain KOB through 2020 and 50% went to an essential worker group, which was matched by sponsor funds up to $2,000. When a donation was made, individuals voted for which essential groups should get the funds and the beneficiary was chosen by popular vote. The options were meals for hospital workers, rural food banks, and a restaurant benevolent fund for furloughed staff. Overwhelmingly, donors selected the food bank.

With this one-time fundraising campaign, KOB successfully raised funds to support its affiliate and raised an additional $2,000 for the Oklahoma Foodbank, helping many fellow Oklahomans. KOB presented the donation virtually on June 5, 2020.

Keep Oklahoma Beautiful received a Keep America Beautiful Innovation Award for this campaign.
