Manatee County in Florida received a grant to be put towards Keep America Beautiful Cigarette Litter Prevention Program. The grant makes the disposal of cigarette butts easier for adult smokers. To date, the county has used the grant to install nearly 48 more cigarette receptacles thanks to the $2,500 grant and to Manatee County, who matched the grant amount of $2,500.
