Marring landscapes, beaches and sidewalks across the U.S. is the growing problem of cigarette litter. However, municipalities are working to reduce the toxic waste plaguing America’s public places. However, the problem is multifaceted as most cigarette filters contain plastic making them less degradable and causing the unsightly butts to accumulate over time. So what’s a city to do?
