What is the Keep America Beautiful National Conference?
The Keep America Beautiful National Conference serves as a prestigious educational platform and forum, providing valuable opportunities for affiliate participants to broaden their expertise, exchange experiences related to their triumphs and hurdles, contribute insights regarding optimal approaches, and engage in meaningful networking with like-minded professionals.
Our primary objective is to organize a yearly event that delivers educational sessions, training workshops, and networking opportunities for our valued National Affiliate Network, esteemed partners, respected sponsors, related peer organizations, and individuals who share a passionate interest in attaining excellence in any of Keep America Beautiful’s key realms, namely litter eradication, recycling enhancement, and community beautification initiatives.
The Power of Beauty: The 2024 National Conference
This year and in the future, Keep America Beautiful will be emphasizing our core value of Beauty. Our upcoming conference will feature esteemed researcher, author, and founder of Homegrown National Park, Doug Tallamy. Tallamy has famously said,” garden as if life depends on it because it does.” His book, Nature’s Best Hope, was a highly acclaimed New York Times bestseller in 2020, and his groundbreaking work on the importance of native plantings in combating species extinction is truly exceptional.
To ignite inspiration and foster engagement in our ongoing mission, we have invited affiliate experts to share their best practices, along with notable researchers and organizations within our field. The conference will commence on Monday, the 12th, at 1 p.m. and will conclude in the early afternoon on the 14th. The Catamaran Hotel & Resort
This year’s conference will be held at the Catamaran Resort Hotel, a Polynesian-themed resort in San Diego, California. Located on the shores of Mission Bay, steps from Pacific Beach, the hotel features a private beach and tropical gardens and is a perfect location for great conversations, networking spaces, and building memories. The KAB Hotel rate is $239 and includes free Wi-Fi in guest rooms and public spaces and the use of hotel resort amenities with no daily resort fee collected. Reservations can be made HERE.
