NORWALK — There’s a new face at Calf Pasture Beach, beginning this week. Shelly, the sea turtle, was unveiled on Wednesday morning as a part of an effort to remind people to recycle.

The art installation, which features a turtle filled with a variety of plastics, was commissioned by Keep America Beautiful, a nonprofit community improvement organization, and donated to the city.

“We think Shelly’s message is very important,” said Christine D’Andrea, corporate partnerships director for Keep America Beautiful. “Trash ended up in unexpected places.”
