Everything Leads to Water: A Special Waterways Convening at Summit 2027

No matter where we live, we are connected by water—and what happens in our communities can ultimately impact our rivers, lakes, streams, coastlines, and oceans.

As part of Summit 2027, Keep America Beautiful will host a special Waterways Convening bringing together experts, partners, and community leaders to explore those connections.

We’ll look beyond waterway cleanups to consider the bigger picture: How does litter travel from our communities to our waterways? How do actions upstream create impacts downstream? And how can litter prevention, behavior change, green spaces, infrastructure, partnerships, and innovation help protect our waterways?

Because caring for our waterways doesn’t begin at the water’s edge. It begins in our communities.
