Jay Finnane
Jay serves as a Global Client Service Partner in EY’s Industrials & Energy Industry Group working with large multinational companies and leading complex transformative projects. In this role, Jay works with his clients and helps them turn their most pressing issues into opportunities to drive innovation and sustainable accretive value realization. Through his trusted relationships, he supports his clients effectively navigate complex challenges and seize opportunities to positively impact business outcomes, helping to Build a Better Working World leveraging the various capabilities of EY.
Jay has deep expertise in Finance and Accounting, Supply Chain, and Commercial functions and the associated processes, technologies and organizational structures. He coaches account teams to focus on relationships and teaming in order to be connected, proactive and insightful with a focus on delivering exceptional client service and satisfaction. Jay has broad knowledge of EY resources across all areas of our business (Consulting, Tax, Assurance and Transactions) and connecting our people to help them be more efficient in bringing the best solutions and outcomes. His personal purpose is to see and develop the best in everyone so that we can tackle our biggest challenges together.
Jay has worked extensively in the Advanced Manufacturing (Diversified Industrial Products) and Mobility industries in the Michigan and Illinois markets for most of his career. He has served large multi-national and Fortune 100 organizations with responsibility for managing and leading global transformative projects. He has led multiple implementations, assessments and improvements of shared services and global business services organizations across various functions as well as global finance transformations including redesign of processes, organization structures and technology implementations. Jay has supported the digital agenda for large multi-national corporations from strategic vision and roadmap through to change management and implementation and has a broad expertise working with various digital technologies to drive process efficiency and automation. Finally, he has significant experience with large and complex mergers, acquisitions and divestitures from up front strategy and due diligence through functional integrations.
Jay joined EY in 1999 in the Assurance practice working on Accounting and Technology audits and improvement projects across multiple industries. After growing in Southern California, he attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with bachelor degrees in Accounting & Information Systems. He lives in Ann Arbor, MI with his wife and two teenage children and enjoys being with family, being active, gardening, golfing and traveling.
