STAMFORD, CT (December 20, 2021) – Keep America Beautiful® has announced the 2022 Unify & Beautify Community Grant program for its affiliate network, other nonprofit organizations, and community groups to implement programs or projects designed to build clean, green, and beautiful places for all to thrive and enjoy. The deadline for applications is January 22 at 5 p.m. EST.
KAB is committed to fostering community diversity, unity, and environmental sustainability. The Community Grant offering provides project funding either independently or collectively to: promote public space recycling (with special projects in and around major sport arenas/stadiums, build strong neighborhoods within and along Martin Luther King Jr. boulevards, public space beautification or greenspace development through tree planting, and litter prevention by collecting litter from the nation’s waterways or developing a program to address cigarette litter.
Applicants are encouraged, but not required, to develop a comprehensive PROGRAM approach, rather than project-specific activities by leveraging the funding available through the various grant applications contained within the comprehensive grant. After completing basic information, common to all the applications, applicants will be given the option to apply for one or several of the community improvement projects.
Learn more about the grants available, including available public space recycling and water litter collection devices and get tips on how to plan your program activities as you prepare your grant application. A brief presentation will be given of the two pilot grant projects: collecting litter in and along waterways and major sport arena/stadium recycling followed by an opportunity to ask questions prior to submitting an application no later than January 22, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
