Keep America Beautiful staff members partnered with a fellow Connecticut-based nonprofit for a cleanup event.
Several Keep America Beautiful staff members volunteered with Mill River Park Collaborative (MRPC) in Stamford, Connecticut for a cleanup event. MRPC’s mission is to create and sustain a world-class park in the heart of Stamford. Mill River Park is located near Keep America Beautiful’s headquarters.
MRPC’s Education and Programs Manager Trent McCann led Keep America Beautiful on the cleanup in Mill River. The group was equipped with waders and litter pickers to go in the river. They filled several bags with trash and pulled items ranging from shopping carts and scooters to bikes and metal crates from the water. There was also an interaction with some very territorial geese!
The cleanup was a great way for Keep America Beautiful to connect with another local nonprofit and work together to #DoBeautifulThings in the community!
