Keep Cincinnati Beautiful commemorates milestone anniversary with annual block party.

Keep Cincinnati Beautiful (KCB) hosted its second annual Cincy Block Party to celebrate its 40th anniversary and all that helps make the city beautiful.

More than 275 guests joined the celebration at H.J. Benken Greenhouse. The event, which featured local food, drinks, music, silent auction baskets, and other activities, had a ’70s theme as a nod to KCB’s founding in 1978. Most notably, the block party helped raise more than $40,000 for the organization.

The event sponsors included: Gorilla Glue, Messer Construction, Heidelburg Distributing, Terracon Consulting, Cincinnati Industrial Auctioneers, Alan Linder, Jeff Harris,  Edward Hatfield, Abbot Thayer, Isabelle Lafosse, Chip Dennig, Jr., Barry Morris, Tara Rhine, Cedrick Vogel, Shelly Fuller, Raymond and Elizabeth Beck, and Stephen Vice. The in-kind donors included: Deeper Roots Coffee, Eli’s BBQ, Gabriel’s Place, Gold Star Chili, Keystone Bar & Grill, Mazunte, and Urban Stead.
