Keep Massachusetts Beautiful hosts inaugural awards ceremony.

Keep Massachusetts Beautiful (KMB) conducted its inaugural Clean Community Awards Gala, recognizing volunteers, municipal partners, and nonprofit, government and business leaders for their efforts to keep the state and its communities clean, green and beautiful. 

KMB distributed six awards: KMB Environmental Legislator of the Year (Rep. Jonathan Hecht); KMB Business Partner of the Year (Dell Technologies); KMB Chapter Leader of the Year (Patrick Conaway, Keep Natick Beautiful); KMB Rookie Chapter of the Year (Keep Walpole Beautiful); KMB Litter Buster of the Year (Peter Walter of Falmouth); and KMB Municipal Partner of the Year (Kristin Black of Uxbridge).

The gala, which was held at Boston’s Nonprofit Center, was emceed by WCVB news anchors Emily Riemer and Ben Simmoneau. Several state legislators were also in attendance, including Rep. Randy Hunt of Sandwich, Sen. Paul Feeney of Foxboro, Rep. Jonathan Hecht of Watertown, and Rep. Jay Barrows of Mansfield.
