Keep Stockwell Beautiful (KSB) in Stockwell, IN, has a lot to be proud of. This Keep America Beautiful affiliate has broken the 1 million pounds of recycling mark not once, not twice, but three times, and the numbers are still rolling in!
In 2018, the affiliate broke the 1 million pounds recycled mark, collecting over 1.5 million pounds.
In 2019, once again, the group collected over 1 million pounds this time hitting 1.7 million pounds
And in 2020, even during the pandemic, the group continued their efforts, again collecting 1.7 million pounds!
The recycling bins are emptied every four days, and residents are given specific information about what can and cannot be accepted with clear signs posted. The KSB group notes that although the recycling bin is located in Lauramie Township, it is available for anyone to use.
Will they once again break the million-pound mark? Stay tuned for more details – the entire team at Keep America Beautiful is rooting for the KSB super-recyclers!
