A group of 12 volunteers, including five youth with the Wetland Warriors, planted 80 fruit trees on two lots in Dulac, Louisiana, on Feb. 11.

The fruit trees were purchased through a Keep America Beautiful/UPS Community Tree Planting Grant by Keep Terrebonne Beautiful, with the fruit benefitting residents of the communities in and around Dulac. The entire project includes a total of 140 trees planted in six parish communities. Keep Terrebonne Beautiful partnered with five nonprofits, two government agencies, and two schools. They planted Hamlin Orange, Owari Satsuma, Meyer Lemon and Celeste Fig.
