Bob Coates joined Keep Moore County Beautiful (KMCB) looking to make a difference in litter clean up and litter prevention. In a brief time of approximately two years serving on the KMCB Board, he has been Vice Chairman and currently holds the Chairman position. He has brought a passion and enthusiasm that has been contagious among the group. It has re-energized the group in their efforts to approach the on-going litter problems that they face in Moore County. Bob has lead the group in the existing Adopt-A-Highway program by scheduling, publicizing, organizing and providing the necessary resources that we need to ensure our obligations and responsibilities are fulfilled. Bob has also been very instrumental in recognizing other groups that KMCB concerns and goals to make sure litter is put in its place. He has called on other groups and KMCB has presented them with certificates of appreciation for supporting KCMB’s cause through their cleanup efforts. Bob has also started a program within his own church to schedule roadside cleanups in their neighborhood as well. He continually campaigns for the Keep Moore County Beautiful cause by reaching out to individuals and civic groups alike to join them.
