Fred Shuker has been an active board member and advocate for Keep Moore County Beautiful since 2012. Fred participates and serves as a judge for the KMCB Clean & Green competition with the Moore County Schools, litter index program, annual golf tournament fundraiser, adopt-a-highway cleanup program, annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection as well as shredding events. Although, Fred has always been active in these programs, he has recently taken on and has become very involved and passionate in ensuring the success of HOPE Academy. Hope Academy has been an ongoing project which has included a total renovation of an old fire station totally remodeled and made conducive for pre-kindergarteners to learn in a class room setting, KMCB, with Fred orchestration, has provided back packs for students to include school supplies, recycling litter prevention literature along with providing recycling bins for the school itself. For these reasons, we would like to recognize Fred for all of his hard work and dedication to contributing to our continued efforts to Keep Moore County Beautiful.
